Dry Otter Waterproofing has been protecting Charlotte-area homes since 2013. What started as one man's vision to do waterproofing the right way has grown into an award-winning company with two locations and a team that treats every home like their own.
We specialize in crawl space repair, basement waterproofing, and foundation repair - the work that keeps your home safe, dry, and structurally sound. Every project starts with a free inspection, because we believe in honest assessments before any work begins. We do not sell services you do not need.

How We Started
Kevin Sanders spent over 30 years in the waterproofing industry before founding Dry Otter in October 2013. After building deep expertise through years in the field, Kevin saw an opportunity to build something different - a company focused on doing the job right, treating customers with respect, and building a team that feels like family.
Together with co-owner Mark Johnston, who brings 18 years of residential waterproofing experience across inspections, sales, installations, and operations, Kevin built Dry Otter into one of Charlotte's fastest-growing and highest-rated waterproofing companies. From a startup to a two-location operation with a dedicated team, Dry Otter's growth has been driven by one principle: take care of the customer, and the business takes care of itself.

Founded Dry Otter Waterproofing in 2013 with over 20 years of waterproofing experience. Kevin now brings 30+ years of industry knowledge to every project. He also serves on the Lincoln County School Board, reflecting his deep ties to the community.
Mark Johnston
With 18 years of residential waterproofing experience, Mark has worked across every facet of the business - inspections, sales, installations, and operations. He provides hands-on leadership that keeps Dry Otter running smoothly.
Lorissa Ford
Started as customer care representative. Manages ordering, scheduling, and crew coordination.
Erin Blackburn
Former science educator bringing analytical thinking to marketing strategy.
Wendy Sanders
Finance background from the car sales industry. Manages company assets and financial operations.
Carmyn Selberg
